For the purposes of this agreement Classic Motorcycle Tours Ltd shall be referred to as CMT.
Tour participants and CMT agree to be bound solely and exclusively by New Zealand law.
A booking enquiry should be followed by a tour registration, upon receipt of the tour registration the participant has agreed to
all the conditions herein.
Motorcycles
Riders must produce a valid unrestricted motorcycle driver's licence and have at least 2 years of motorcycle driving experience. A
minimum age of 20 years applies.
Deposit and Full Payment
A 10% deposit is required with a tour registration.
Full payment is required on arrival.
Services
CMT reserves the right to change our itinerary due to unforeseeable events. Every effort shall be made by CMT to provide alternatives
of equal quality.
Cancellation Policy
The penalty on cancellation is a loss of your 10% deposit.
In the case CMT has to cancel a tour for events out of their control (Acts of God, strike, war, natural disasters) CMT shall refund
all tour payments.
A tour can be cancelled by CMT if there are less than 6 participants 2 weeks prior to departure, CMT shall refund all tour payments.
Insurances
The following types of insurances are recommended and are the sole responsibility of individual participants: trip cancellation /
interruption, medical, accident, general liability and loss of luggage.
ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation) covers public medical costs but private medical insurance may still be desired.
Motorcycle insurance is provided and inclusive in the tour price, a security deposit is required.
Security Deposit
A security deposit of NZ$3000 is payable and a rental contract must be signed prior to the take over of the rental motorcycle. Upon
return of the undamaged motorcycle the security deposit is fully refunded.
Responsibilities and Liabilities
The participant is responsible for their own safety, understanding the applicable traffic rules and regulations and adhering to the
New Zealand laws. CMT is not responsible for any property lost or damaged while using a rental motorcycle. This liability is not
excluded if the participant is following the tour guides direction. CMT will not be held responsible or liable for any accidents and
/ or bodily injury or death, resulting from the use of a motorcycle, riders and passengers indemnify all such claims against us and
our employees.
CMT will not be held liable for expenses incurred as a result of delays, missed connections or changes in schedule to the participants travel arrangements.
While CMT takes all care in the choosing of accommodation on the Tour, we take no responsibility for injury or loss incurred during anytime spent in accommodation on the Tour.
CMT is not responsible for any Acts of God, strikes, weather, theft or any other conditions beyond our control.
